Holy Week: A Journey Through the Passion of Christ

Holy Week is the most sacred week in the Christian calendar, commemorating the final days of Jesus Christ’s life, his crucifixion, and his resurrection. It begins on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday marks Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where crowds greeted him with palm branches. The mood quickly shifts by Holy Thursday (also called Maundy Thursday), which commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples and washed their feet in a powerful act of humility.

Good Friday follows, a solemn day that remembers Jesus’ suffering and crucifixion. Christians reflect deeply on the sacrifice he made for humanity's sins. Holy Saturday is a quiet day of waiting and reflection, leading into Easter Sunday, the joyous celebration of Jesus’ resurrection and victory over death.

Holy Week is a time of prayer, reflection, and devotion, reminding believers of the depth of God’s love and the hope found in the resurrection.
